- Not enough amazing or beautiful things are said of the wonderful guru rumi. But oh, how I love and admire his work. One of my favorites by him is the guest house. It is, of course in this book! (Page 16!)
I bought this book not only because I find his work intriguing and thought provoking, but because I really enjoy reading them outloud to my students at the end of the yoga classes I teach. It's always so wonderful to finish reading some of his work and watch the faces illuminate with understanding. This book is small and can fit in most purses.
If you enjoy poetry, or are looking to add to a class, I highly recommend this book. I do not write many book reviews, but just had to let reviewers/shoppers know that this is worth every penny. - I received this book as a gift. Rumi is my second favorite poet after Robert Frost. Rumi's mind and poetry is as fresh in today's world as it was in Persia and the Middle East over eight hundred years ago.i thought the translation was good and easy to understand. I in turn ordered it as a gift and the bookseller in Florida did a superb job of packaging the book and on time delivery.
